AXIS

An app for comparing and contrasting photographs. A table, a line of tape, two labels at opposite ends — an axis on which to place a pile of photographs. The history of photography often throws up competing ideas. Are photographs mirrors or windows, found or staged, deadpan or expressive? Are photographers hunters or farmers, insiders or outsiders? Are they more concerned with the shutter or the lens?
Shuffle the deck, pick an image, place it somewhere on your chosen axis, or not. The practice deck is drawn from photographers championed by Autograph gallery. Upload your own photographs and repeat the process.

Currently only for desktop/laptop and best full screen. Axis needs a mouse or trackpad and won't work by touch on tablets or phones.
